Karen Simon has experience as in-house counsel at startups in the area of technology. She is a specialist in regulatory law, data privacy, new products, and payments, in addition to having a solid experience with corporate law and mergers and acquisitions. Her expertise encompasses a range of areas of law in connection with business involving internet and technology: marketplaces and online to offline models; internet-related civil liability; data privacy and protection; intellectual property; law enforcement; payments; strategic litigations; business development; corporate law; mergers and acquisitions; and general negotiations and contracts. Her practice encompasses the analysis of several types of contracts, terms of service and privacy policies related to new models of business and technology, in addition to issues related to consulting and the implementation of programs of adjustment to the personal data protection legislation. She further provides regulatory consulting and engages in product liability issues, including legal analysis of business models and new products.
