Latin Lawyer is pleased to announce the three pro bono clearinghouses that will be supported through our 2012 Deal of the Year Charity Awards.
Three transactions have been selected for each category and the winning deals will be announced at our awards ceremony on 19 March at Hotel Unique in São Paulo. We congratulate all the lawyers who took part in these leading transactions, and look forward to presenting the winners with awards on the night.
Money raised from the event will support efforts to boost pro bono work in the region by funding clearing houses that link deserving charities to lawyers willing to provide free legal advice. The clearinghouses to benefit this year will be Argentina’s Comisión Pro Bono, Brazil’s Instituto Pro Bono and the Fundación Pro Bono Colombia.
