Machado, Meyer, Sendacz e Opice Advogados in São Paulo and Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP in New York and Washington, DC have helped US car manufacturer Ford obtain funds worth US$1.2 billion through the extension of a long-standing revolving facility.

Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP in New York and Pinheiro Guimarães - Advogados in São Paulo advised JP Morgan, Banco Bradesco, Banco do Brasil, Santander (Brasil) and 55 other banks on the transaction, which closed on 30 April. Ford will use the loan to support its growth, including in China and Brazil, and to increase its liquidity.
