Companies and law firms should not be biased against potential employees who want short-term working relations. Rodrigo Seizo Takano, a partner at Machado Meyer Advogados, argues that workers who choose to be in the gig economy are generally more talented. “We have to create a favourable environment to keep them in,” he says. “Companies need to be prepared to differentiate and absorb both types of employees – those who seek long-term goals in the company and those who want to have short and flexible relationships.”
