Pérez Alati, Grondona, Benites, Arntsen & Martínez de Hoz (h) has helped Argentine energy group Industrias Metalúrgicas Pescarmona (IMPSA) obtain a loan from the Inter-American Development Bank (IADB) to finance its wind farm operations in Brazil.
UK firm Clifford Chance LLP, Brazil′s Machado, Meyer, Sendacz e Opice Advogados and Argentina′s Bruchou, Fernández Madero & Lombardi provided counsel to the IADB. The US$150 million long-term line of credit, which was signed on 9 December and disbursed on 16 December, was granted to Wind Power Energia, IMPSA′s subsidiary in Brazil.

According to Pérez Alati partner Diego Serrano Redonnet, the transaction is of strategic importance for IMPSA, which hopes to establish a long-term business relationship with the IADB. "The IADB loan strengthens IMPSA′s credit standing and facilitates access to competitive long-term financing in times of turbulent international financial markets," he says.
