Five firms from the US and Brazil have helped Brazilian fashion company InBrands agree a joint venture with American apparel company PVH to distribute Tommy Hilfiger clothing in Brazil.

InBrands turned to Lobo & de Rizzo Advogados while PVH, which owns the Tommy Hilfiger brand, relied on Veirano Advogados and the New York office of Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP. The American Sportswear Group, which distributes Tommy Hilfiger products in Latin America and the Caribbean and is a minority partner in the joint venture, turned to Machado, Meyer, Sendacz e Opice Advogados and the New York office of Akerman Senterfitt LLP.

The joint venture was announced on 9 November and will run for an initial term of 10 years. InBrands and PVH will begin retail sales of Tommy Hilfiger products at the start of next year.
