Co-chairs Melissa Raciti-Knapp of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and Jose Virgilio Lopes Enei of Machado Meyer Sendacz e Opice Advogados opened Latin Lawyer′s Infrastructure and Project Finance conference this morning in São Paulo, pointing out to delegates that these are ′interesting times′ in Brazil, with huge projects underway in transport in particular as the twin dates of the Olympics and the World Cup approach.

Brazil faces ′interesting times′ is the message from Latin Lawyer′s infrastructure conference today

The conference will be looking at projects in railways, ports and airports, as well as the boom in Chinese investment in Brazil, the changing face of financing and a look at the lessons for Rio of London′s preparations for the Olympics, presented by Freshfields′ London office head Tim Jones.
