Vix hired Machado, Meyer, Sendacz e Opice Advogados for the deal, which closed on 23 December.

IFC paid around US$57 million for the equity stake, with its subsidiary, the African, Latin American and Caribbean fund (ALAC), paying just over US$19 million. The pair’s investment hands IFC 11 per cent and ALAC 4 per cent of Vix’s voting and total capital stock.

Vix will use the funds to expand its operations and for logistics projects.
