As from January 1st, Machado, Meyer, Sendacz e Opice will have three new partners, the lawyers Flávio Roberto Penteado Meyer, Eliana Ambrósio Chimenti and Camila Galvão Anderi Silva. The lawyers are former associates in capital markets, corporate and tax areas, respectively, and were elected partners in November. Alexandre Clápis, the fourth partner to join the firm in 2008, returns to the firm after some years in the real estate registration business.
 
Flávio Roberto Penteado Meyer graduated from Universidade de São Paulo (USP) and received his Masters in Corporate Law from Chicago University. He joined the firm in 1995, as a trainee, and has foreign experience, working as an associate with Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton LLP in New York. Mr. Flávio Meyer has advised important transactions from financial institutions, industries and companies, in Brazil and abroad.
 
Eliana Ambrósio Chimenti graduated from Universidade de São Paulo (USP) and acted, from 1997 to 2001, as Federal Attoney of CVM (the Brazilian Securities and Exchange Commission). Mrs. Eliana Chimenti has joined the firm in 2001, becoming a member of the corporate department. Since then, she has already participated in a number of share issuances, national and internationally, and has been a lecturer in several symposiums and seminars.
 
Camila Galvão Anderi Silva graduated from Universidade de São Paulo (USP) and received her postgraduate degree in Tax Law from Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC-SP). Mrs. Camila Galvão is a member of the tax law team, which she joined in 2001. She is currently taking her MBA in Finances at Ibmec.
 
Alexandre Clápis graduated from Universidade de São Paulo (USP). He has started his career at the firm as a trainee, where he stayed until 2000, as an associate lawyer. With large experience in Real Estate Law and Public Registry, he has worked in a number of registry offices and, before his return, he was the Successor Official of the 13th Real Estate Registry Office in São Paulo. Mr. Alexandre Clápis has a postgraduate degree in Contractual Law and in Real Estate Registy Law, from Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC-SP); holds a specialist degree in Rights in Real Estate and in Real Estate Registy Law from Faculdade de Direito da Universidade de Coimbra; and is currently taking his Masters in Cicil Law at PUC-SP.
