US firm Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP and Brazil’s Machado, Meyer, Sendacz e Opice Advogados have helped International Equipment Solutions, the portfolio company of private equity fund KPS Capital Partners, acquire a leading manufacturer of truck cabins in Brazil from its Italian parent company.

Siac do Brasil, which also manufactures equipment used in the construction, infrastructure, mining, forestry and agriculture industries, turned to Caffi-Maroncelli & Associati in Italy and Brazil’s De Luca Derenusson, Schuttoff e Azevedo Advogados in the deal that closed on 31 May.

Financing for the transaction was provided by a syndicate of institutional investors including Regiment Capital Advisors and PNC Bank, National Association. Regiment Capital Advisors and PNC Bank. National Association is understood to have turned to US firm Schulte Roth & Zabel LLP.
