The Mayor of São Paulo Gilberto Kassab, by means of its Municipal Secretariat of Social Welfare, delivered jointly with the office Machado, Meyer, Sendacz e Opice Advogados an exclusive complex to culture, sports and qualification of young people, Estação da Juventude Machado Meyer, in Jardim Imbé. This area was sponsored by the office, in view of its 40th year celebration, and covers one of the wards of the Centro de Convivência para Crianças, Adolescentes e Jovens (Lounge for Children, Teenagers and Young People) - Jardim Imbé, located in one of the most peripheral regions of the city, Capão Redondo. Machado Meyer was represented in the opening by the managing partner Raquel Novais, and the founding partners Antônio Meyer and Moshe Sendacz.

Such as in the case of Cidade Tiradentes, the Secretariat of Social Welfare has inaugurated the area, which will provide social-education assistance to 6 to 17 year children, teenagers and young people, focused on the constitution of the lounge, in view of the interests, demands and the potential of various ages and the strengthening of family and community bonds.

The donation of the space, called "Estação da Juventude Machado Meyer", includes one language room, one CD recording studio, one workshop for DJs, one computer room and dance studio. The lounge center comprises a total of 33 rooms and 3 floors, distributed in an area of 1,788 m2 . 1,140 children and teenagers assisted in the site will be benefitted by the partnership, 240 of them falling under age bracket of 6 to 14.5 years and the other 900 fall under teenagers over 17 years old.

"By this initiative, in addition to the partnership with the City Hall, we want to offer opportunities to young people and encourage them by various educational programs. This contribution to society is a celebration of the 40 year anniversary of Machado Meyer in 2012, which will focus even more on new investments in social projects, thus reflecting the office′s work philosophy", Raquel Novais, managing partner of Machado, Meyer, Sendacz e Opice.

Raquel Novais also states that she wants these initiatives to set the example to companies and other entities that may contribute with social projects. "This is a small gesture to show to private enterprise the world of possibilities around it. Partnerships are possible to be built and this project specifically proves it", she adds. On the date of celebration of its anniversary, Machado Meyer works with a series of incentives to programs of social engagement in the areas of health, education and culture, upon the partnership with the City Hall of the City of São Paulo and non-governmental organizations.

At the time, there were also present the vice-mayor and secretary of Social Welfare, Alda Marco Antônio, and the alderman Marco Aurélio Cunha, in addition to other local authorities.
