Recently, the study "Analysis and Evaluation of Institutional Organization and Efficiency Management Brazilian Port Sector" prepared by Machado Meyer together with Booz & Co., Verax Consulting and Engineering Advisory Logit Ltda., was published with the support of the National Bank of Economic and Social Development (BNDES).

The study contains a comprehensive diagnosis of the Brazilian port sector and proposes solutions to the identified problems. Its elaboration was made throughout 2011 and early 2012 and its outcomes assisted in the development of Provisional Measure Nº 595, published on December 6, 2012. 

The legal work were coordinated by the partner Jose Virgilio Lopes Enei (Infrastructure Sector), with the participation of the partners Mauro Penteado (Infrastructure), Rodrigo Takano (Labour), Roberta Danelon Leonardt (Environmental), and the associates André Luiz Freire (Infrastructure) and Daniela Stump (Environmental)
