Pinheiro Neto Advogados has helped Brazilian infrastructure group Invepar obtain a US$405 million loan for one of its concession companies tasked with extending a highway in the state of Minas Gerais.

Concessionária BR 040 received the loan from Brazilian development bank BNDES, which relied on in-house counsel.

The loan is guaranteed by Banco Itaú Unibanco, Banco do Brasil, Banco Bradesco and Banco do Desenvolvimento de Minas Gerais, which were advised by Machado, Meyer, Sendacz e Opice Advogados. It will be used to fund the extension of the highway by more than 900 kilometres.
