Machado, Meyer, Sendacz e Opice Advogados’ men’s football team has been crowned champion of Brazil’s law society football league, while TozziniFreire Advogados won the women’s tournament.
Machado Meyer secured the title on 26 July with a 5-0 victory over Demarest e Almeida Advogados.
Goals from Coviello Paulo Filho, who ended as the tournament’s joint top scorer with 14, secured the title for the firm. Siqueira Castro – Advogados’ João Marcos Medeiros Barboza also scored 14 in the competition.
Barboza’s efforts helped Siqueira Castro to third place, emerging as 7-5 victors over Felsberg, Pedretti, Mannrich e Aidar Advogados.
TozziniFreire Advogados’ team took the women's title after a 2-0 win over Felsberg, while Mattos Filho, Veiga Filho, Marrey Jr e Quiroga Advogados beat Mundie e Advogados 4-1 to take third place.
The women’s top scoring award was shared between Mattos Filho’s Marcella Thomaz Monteiro de Barros, Tozzini’s Anna Paula Berhnes Romero, and Gislaine dos Santos da Mota of Demarest, each with 13 goals.
