Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP in New York; Machado Meyer Advogados in São Paulo; Brigard Urrutia in Bogotá; and Marval, O'Farrell & Mairal in Buenos Aires have helped Japanese technology fund SoftBank invest up to US$1 billion in Latin American food delivery start-up Rappi.
Rappi relied on Cooley in New York for the deal, which was signed on 30 April. Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP and Galicia Abogados are also thought to have represented the start-up, but this could not be confirmed prior to publication.
