Brazil’s Machado Meyer Advogados has helped investment management company Pátria Investments acquire a motorway concessionaire in the state of São Paulo from investment fund Invepar for 445 million reais (US$83 million).

Veirano Advogados helped Invepar sell its concessionaire subsidiary, known as Concessionária Auto Raposo Tavares (CART). The deal closed on 30 April.

The concessionaire operates 834 kilometres of roads in the state of São Paulo.

Pátria Investments is one of the world’s largest alternative investment management companies focussed on Latin American assets. The company plans to invest another 500 million reais (US$92.5 million) in the concessionaire's motorway network over the next four years.
