Machado Meyer Advogados has helped Petrobras sell its entire stake in three shallow-water fields for US$370 million as the oil and gas company continues divesting assets.

The purchaser, Anglo-French oil and gas group Perenco, is thought to have relied on Tauil & Chequer Advogados in association with Mayer Brown, but this could not be confirmed prior to publication.

The deal was signed on 28 November and marks Perenco’s largest ever investment in Brazil. Perenco also operates in Colombia, Guatemala, Peru and Venezuela.
