Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP and Machado, Meyer, Sendacz e Opice Advogados have represented Brazilian real estate company PDG Realty as it raised US$475 million in a follow-on equity offering.
Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP and Mattos Filho, Veiga Filho, Marrey Jr e Quiroga Advogados acted for placement agents UBS Securities, Itaú USA Securities, Goldman Sachs, Merrill Lynch, Banco BTG Pactual, and Safra Securities, in the issuance.
Rio de Janeiro-based PDG’s offering follows close on the heels of São Paulo developers Rossi Residencial, which raised 928 million reais (US$527 million) in an initial public offering on the international markets a week ago.
Two other real estate companies in the country, Brookfield and Cyrela, have also said that they are planning share offerings.
