At a time when data protection and information security play an increasingly strategic role for organizations, Machado Meyer continues to invest in improving its processes, controls, and practices in line with the most rigorous international standards. This work strengthens the protection of the information entrusted to the firm and its ability to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data belonging to clients, partners, and professionals.
This effort has been recognized with ISO/IEC 27001 certification, the leading international standard for information security management. The achievement demonstrates the strength of Machado Meyer's governance, the maturity of its controls, and an organizational culture focused on prevention, continuous monitoring, and ongoing improvement. That culture keeps pace with technological change and with the increasingly complex challenges of privacy and data protection.
The audit focused on the Real Estate practice and also involved professionals from the administrative departments that are part of the firm's Information Security Management System. The result reflects a path built collaboratively, with different teams engaged in implementing and continuously improving protection practices and mechanisms.
"ISO/IEC 27001 certification is the result of a collective effort that brought together different areas of the firm around a common goal: to continuously strengthen our privacy and information protection practices. It marks an important milestone on this journey and reaffirms our commitment to taking the utmost care in handling the data entrusted to us every day," says Daniel Guariento, partner and DPO at Machado Meyer.
With this achievement, Machado Meyer reaffirms that its work is grounded in excellence, responsibility, and trust. The firm continues to build an increasingly robust structure that is ready to protect information, mitigate risks, and provide security to clients, partners, and professionals.
