Brazilian firms Neiva, Barros & Figueiró Sociedade de Advogados and TozziniFreire Advogados have helped Colombian power company Grupo Energía Bogotá and Spanish counterpart Red Eléctrica Internacional acquire Brazil’s Argo Energía for US$847 million (3.5 billion reais).
Neiva Barros advised Grupo Energía, while TozziniFreire helped Red Eléctrica.
Mattos Filho, Veiga Filho, Marrey Jr e Quiroga Advogados helped Brazilian asset manager Pátria Infraestrutura sell its shares in Argo, while Machado Meyer Advogados advised Singaporean holding company Temasek’s Dutch subsidiary Somerville on the sale of its interest. The deal closed on 22 November.
